What is Neuropathy?
Neuropathy is essentially nerve damage caused by several different factors including; diabetes, chemotherapy, drugs, aging and exposure to various toxins such as carbon monoxide or agent orange. This nerve damage results in weakness, numbness, pain, burning, or tingling in the hands and/or feet. Often times Neuropathy is treated with drugs, surgery, or is even left untreated. This results in people living with debilitating pain, numbness, or tingling which can lead to infections, falls, or skin trauma due to the loss of sensation brought on by nerve damage.
